Review: Iron Queen (Daughters of Zeus)

Life is hell for Persephone. Zeus will stop at nothing to gain access to the living realm and the Underworld, and as the only living god with a right to both, Persephone’s in trouble. Captured and tortured beyond the limits of her resolve, Persephone must find the power to stand against Zeus. But will she be strong enough?

Meanwhile, Hades contemplates desperate measures to rescue his queen. Persephone never thought of herself as dangerous, but there’s a reason gods never marry for love. A being with the power to destroy all of creation shouldn’t place more value in one individual than the rest of the planet. But Hades...Hades would break the world for her.

To save the world and stop both Hades and Zeus, Persephone must make a difficult choice. One that may cost her everything.

Spoilers in the following Review, you have been WARN!!!!

The books continues right off where the last leaves off, Persephone getting kidnapped and Hades getting knocked out from the pain he feels through the equilibrium bond the two share. I can honestly say tis is one of my favorite serious about Hades and Persephone. I adore how the author doesn't immediately get into Greek mythology and paint Hades as the bad guy but for a first, as the dashing incredibly sexy male protagonist. In my opinion this serious deserves much more attention then it is getting it is new and different then what is out there in the media eye.

The ending was wow and it left me wanting more.... I was near tears in the end one does come to care about all the characters including Apollo tough we only see him for a short while as well as Demeter and we all know that has been one of the obstacles the relationship between Hades and Persephone have found more difficult to over come. But what tore my heart up was the death of Poseidon's son, Triton. It made me hate Zues even more.

The plot was so well thought through it all and being able to read it from various points of view, Persephone, Aphrodite and surprise surprise and my favorite Hades. The twist and turns kept me at the edge of my sit and unable to let it go for even a moment.

So I recommend that you drop whatever book you are reading or are planning to read and grab this series if you are looking for something fresh funny and with characters  that will make you jump at every turn.
